As with Blueprint GRC generally, our performance consulting, verifications and projects are director-led, with greater emphasis on the deployment of senior expertise, high-end client service and good commercial outcomes.
GIPS® Compliance Services
GIPS® Compliance Services Blueprint GRC provides measured and step-by-step guidance with first achieving and then maintaining compliance with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®) through consultation, draft documentation, implementing controls and training. We can assist first-hand with a robust GIPS analysis, record-keeping and reporting in preparation for annual independent verification. Where we are not reviewing our own work, we can independently verify compliance with the standards and advise on any remediation or enhancement of performance standards.
Performance Certifications
Performance Certifications Reviews are customizable and can range from time-weighted rates of return or internal rates of return methodologies to calculations of performance fees and net down methodologies. These engagements include thorough reviews of performance data and calculation methodologies to validate accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This offering is ideal for firms who may not want to pursue GIPS compliance, but do want a health check-up on how they calculate and present performance. Some model providers and other third-party platforms have requirements for performance attestation which we can provide.
Targeted Performance Reviews
Targeted Performance Reviews Blueprint GRC offers bespoke assessments aimed at enhancing reporting practices to ensure they align with best practices and regulatory expectations. These reviews can be focused on processes and procedures and designed to uncover areas that would benefit from enhancement. This can be tailored to a specific knowledge area (like the SEC marketing rule requirements) or be customized to review firm specific processes.
Investor-Ready IRR Assessment
Investor-Ready IRR Assessment For firms not claiming compliance with GIPS®, Blueprint GRC offers evaluations to ensure that Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and other performance metrics are consistent with the GIPS standards and aligned with FINRA Regulatory Notice (RN) 20-21 for private placements. This RN requires additional metrics such as inception paid-in capital, committed capital, and other performance multiples in addition to GIPS consistent IRRs. These reviews can be useful for future fundraising or for marketing existing private placements open to new investors.
SEC Marketing Rule Support
SEC Marketing Rule Support Blueprint GRC offers assistance in adhering to investment performance obligations under the SEC’s marketing rules which were finalized in 2020. We can help ensure promotional materials meet regulatory requirements – working with Blueprint GRC’s SEC expertise in London. A selected number of marketing materials can be reviewed with a findings report issued at the conclusion of the review.

Performance Analytics Assistance Blueprint GRC can help create and maintain robust composite maintenance processes, providing custom analytics around composite integrity, strategy adherence, and ongoing policy implementation. This offering is customizable to the firm’s needs and can help provide temporary coverage for planned leave or used on an ongoing basis to help lighten the internal workload across internal teams.
About the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®)
The Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS ) are voluntary, ethical standards for calculating and presenting investment performance based on the principles of fair representation and full disclosure.
Investment performance is a fundamental part of all investing, and it is relevant to every investment and to every investor. It is important for the evaluation of progress against objectives, the selection of managers, and the calculation of incentives. Investment firms and asset owners that adopt the GIPS standards display their commitment to ethics and transparency and instil investor confidence.
